  • No dehydrate mode

How it tested

We ran the same battery of tests we use on every air fryer, from frozen chips to fresh wings and roast veg. Here is how it scored on each.

Crispiness — 8.5

Chips and wings crisped nicely, with the high top temperature giving a good crunch.

Crispy food fresh from the air fryer

Evenness — 8.3

Consistent colour, with a shake for crowded loads.

Ease of use & cleanup — 8.6

The parts are dishwasher safe and the touchscreen is quick to read.

Noise — 8.1

On the quieter side for its power.

Design & build

A smart stainless and black unit that suits most kitchens. The basket is broad, which helps single-layer cooking.

Our verdict

A safe, sensible everyday pick. The AIR-200NAS does the core jobs cleanly, looks smart on the counter and carries Cuisinart’s long 3-year warranty.

It is not the most feature-packed, but it is easy to live with and fairly priced. A fine first air fryer.

How it compares

It sits above the 4.5-quart AIR-160 and below the 9-quart AIRX-221. The AIR-180 is a close, slightly cheaper alternative with a ceramic basket.

AirFryer Ovens test kitchen · Bought at retail, never supplied by the brand

Every oven runs the same five stages: preheat timing, a frozen chip crispiness run, a full tray evenness test, a full load cook, then noise, energy and cleanup. Scores carry the same weighting on every model, so commission never moves a ranking.
