✓ What we liked
  • Glass basket lets you watch food cook
  • PFAS-free ceramic crisper plate
  • Small footprint and 3-year warranty
✗ Worth noting
  • Four quarts suits one or two
  • 1600W preheat is steady, not fast

How it tested

We ran the same battery of tests we use on every air fryer, from frozen chips to fresh wings and roast veg. Here is how it scored on each.

Crispiness — 8.3

For its size it crisps snacks and small meals nicely, and the glass makes timing easy.

Crispy food fresh from the air fryer

Evenness — 8.1

Good within the small basket, with a shake for packed loads.

Ease of use & cleanup — 8.6

The glass and ceramic parts wipe clean and go in the dishwasher.

Noise — 8.1

Quiet and low key.

Design & build

A neat unit with a clear glass basket that looks smart and helps you judge doneness. Easy to store.

Our verdict

A clever small-kitchen air fryer. The glass basket is genuinely useful for judging colour, and the ceramic plate is easy to keep clean.

Four quarts limits it to smaller meals, and it is not the fastest to heat. For singles and couples it is a tidy, well-made choice.

How it compares

It is the small sibling of the 9-quart AFC-9. A basket AIR-160 is a cheaper option if you do not want the glass.

AirFryer Ovens test kitchen · Bought at retail, never supplied by the brand

Every oven runs the same five stages: preheat timing, a frozen chip crispiness run, a full tray evenness test, a full load cook, then noise, energy and cleanup. Scores carry the same weighting on every model, so commission never moves a ranking.
