How it tested

We ran the same battery of tests we use on every air fryer, from frozen chips to fresh wings and roast veg. Here is how it scored on each.

Crispiness — 8.4

For its size it crisps well, with chips and nuggets browning fast under the powerful lid.

Crispy food fresh from the air fryer

Evenness — 8.0

Good within the small container, with a quick shake keeping edges level.

Ease of use & cleanup — 8.6

The glass and plates rinse clean and the lids make leftovers simple. Clipping the crisping lid on takes a moment to learn.

Noise — 8.0

Low and steady, one of the quieter units here.

Design & build

The most portable Ninja, with clear glassware and a small crisping unit that lifts off. Easy to store in a cupboard.

Our verdict

The Crispi is a neat, portable take on air frying that suits singles, couples and small spaces. The glass containers make it as much a storage set as a fryer.

The four-quart size and clip-on lid mean it is not the pick for families or for the fastest setup. For small-batch cooking it is a tidy, capable little machine.

How it compares

It is the smaller sibling of the Crispi Pro AS101, with less capacity and a lower price. A basket AF101 is simpler if you do not want the glass system.

Every oven runs the same five stages: preheat timing, a frozen chip crispiness run, a full tray evenness test, a full load cook, then noise, energy and cleanup. Scores carry the same weighting on every model, so commission never moves a ranking.
