✓ What we liked
  • Thirteen presets cover almost any job
  • Square basket holds a lot for 5.8 quarts
  • Reliable, well-proven design
✗ Worth noting
  • 400°F ceiling, not 450
  • Basic screen next to the newer models

How it tested

We ran the same battery of tests we use on every air fryer, from frozen chips to fresh wings and roast veg. Here is how it scored on each.

Crispiness — 8.5

Solid, reliable crisping. It will not quite match the TurboBlaze fan but it turns out crunchy chips and wings without fuss.

Crispy food fresh from the air fryer

Evenness — 8.4

Good, even results with the usual shake on fuller loads.

Ease of use & cleanup — 8.6

The detachable square basket is dishwasher safe and easy to fill. The wide range of presets makes it beginner friendly.

Noise — 8.0

A steady, unremarkable hum.

Design & build

A familiar black box that has sold for years for good reason. The square basket is the clever part, using the space well.

Our verdict

The Pro Gen 2 is the dependable all-rounder of the Cosori range. It does everything competently and the square basket is a genuinely useful shape.

It is a step behind the TurboBlaze on fan power and top temperature. For a lot of buyers the lower price and long track record make up for that.

How it compares

It offers more presets than the TurboBlaze but less fan power and a lower top temperature. The Pro LE is smaller and cheaper if you cook for one or two.

Yes. It detaches and is dishwasher safe.

How big is 5.8 quarts?

AirFryer Ovens test kitchen · Bought at retail, never supplied by the brand

Every oven runs the same five stages: preheat timing, a frozen chip crispiness run, a full tray evenness test, a full load cook, then noise, energy and cleanup. Scores carry the same weighting on every model, so commission never moves a ranking.
