The two-basket air fryer that made DualZone famous. Cook two things two ways and have them ready together, all in a stainless finish that suits most kitchens.

✓ What we liked
  • Two independent 4-quart zones
  • Match Cook and Smart Finish are genuinely useful
  • Strong, even crisping
✗ Worth noting
  • No probe thermometer
  • Takes up a fair bit of bench space

How it tested

We ran the same battery of tests we use on every air fryer, from frozen chips to fresh wings and roast veg. Here is how it scored on each.

Crispiness — 8.9

Fries and breaded chicken crisped up evenly with a satisfying bite. The crisper plates lift food off the base so hot air reaches every side.

Crispy food fresh from the air fryer

Evenness — 8.7

Colour was consistent across each basket. Larger loads still like a shake partway through.

Ease of use & cleanup — 8.4

Nonstick parts wipe clean and drop in the dishwasher. The controls are simple and the two zones are easy to set apart.

Noise — 7.9

A steady fan noise while running, nothing sharp or rattly.

Design & build

The stainless front lifts it above the plain black crowd, and the drawers feel sturdy. At eight quarts it is wide, so measure your counter first.

Who it’s for

✓ Buy it if…
  • You want mains and sides done together
  • You cook for two to four people
✗ Look elsewhere if…
  • You need a probe for meat
  • Bench space is tight

Our verdict

This is the sweet spot of the DualZone range. You get the two-basket magic without paying for the largest size, and the results are close to the flagship for most meals.

The main things you give up are the probe and the extra two quarts. For a lot of homes that is an easy trade for the lower price and smaller footprint.

How it compares

Step up to the DZ550 for a probe and more room. Drop to a single basket like the AF150 if you rarely need two zones.

Frequently asked

What is Smart Finish?

It syncs both baskets so two different foods finish cooking at the same time.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes. The baskets and crisper plates are both dishwasher safe.

AirFryer Ovens test kitchen · Bought at retail, never supplied by the brand

Every oven runs the same five stages: preheat timing, a frozen chip crispiness run, a full tray evenness test, a full load cook, then noise, energy and cleanup. Scores carry the same weighting on every model, so commission never moves a ranking.

Love it, just wish it had the meat probe like the bigger one.

The two baskets changed how I cook dinner. Chips in one, chicken in the other, done together.
