Prawns go from perfect to rubbery in about a minute, so this is one to watch. The gentle, even heat of an air fryer is more forgiving than a hot pan, but not by much.

- 300g raw king prawns, peeled
- 30g butter, melted
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- Handful parsley, chopped
- Lemon and chilli flakes to finish
Method
- Mix. Toss the prawns with the melted butter and garlic until well coated.
- Air fry. Cook at 380°F for 8 minutes, shaking once, until pink and opaque.
- Finish. Toss through the parsley, a squeeze of lemon and chilli flakes.
- Serve. Serve straight away with bread for the butter.
Test-kitchen tip
Pull them the moment they turn opaque. Prawns keep cooking in their own heat for a minute after.
