Day-old pastries brought back to flaky, shattering life in six minutes.
This is the best use of an air fryer nobody talks about. Gentle dry heat re-crisps the lamination without drying out the middle, which a microwave can never do.

Ingredients
Serves 4 · tap to check off
- 4 croissants or pastries, a day or two old
Method
- Space. Lay out in a single layer with room around each.
- Air fry. Cook at 330°F for 6 minutes.
- Check. Look at 4 minutes. Pastries brown fast once they get going.
- Rest. Rest 1 minute before eating so the layers set.
Test-kitchen tip
Keep the heat low at 330°F. Anything higher and the outside burns before the middle warms through.
